not to ruin the project, which is really interesting, but I think almost all of those anti-sits are really anti-perches, as in pigeons and whatnot that would stop to chill and poop all over the ground. I think it can be argued that some of the obstacles are dual purpose, but would anyone ever really sit on a standpipe or a 2" window ledge a half foot off the ground? (i guess it is nyc...)

no, these are definitively human anti-sits. i'm sure you've seen the pigeon anti-sits, they're quite different, and positioned for that purpose. i do not think it can be argued in any sense that these are dual purpose. who would sit on a standpipe? well, stick around, i've been compililng a happy collection of folks - in all shapes and colors - doing just that.

I think a crafty class-action lawsuit could rip the U.S. of the rising tide of anti-sits. The physical cost of tripping in such a jagged city environ can't be good. Also, at some point the lack of idle homeless people or thugs must increase your odds of getting mugged. Body in motion, yo.

NYC.Get money and spend money.Dont sit.
I feel very weird when im crossing the border line on the airport and they ask me these questions and tryin to make me feel like someone worst. Like there is something wonderfull waitin for me.And its really not.

Remind me why exactly one should not sit in these places, before the anti-sits were in place?
